Welcome and Overview
The Current State of Pain Management

Faculty: W. Clay Jackson, MD, DipTh

Treating people with pain continues to be a very complex issue: Each patient’s needs are different; the epidemic of opioid misuse and misinformation continues; and there is still a lack of access to high quality, affordable integrative care. AIPM Board Chair W. Clay Jackson, MD, DipTh, will kick off the Summit with an overview of the current state of pain management, and the challenges practitioners continue to face with providing patient-centered care.

Learning Objectives
After completing this educational activity, participants will be better able to:

  1. Discuss the current state of pain management
  2. Examine how the external challenges practitioners face effect patient-centered care

This session will take place on November 9, 2018 as part of the Global Pain Clinician Summit 2018. Learn more and register here.
